Galois New User Walk Through

Welcome to the Realsee Galois walk-through. It's a pleasure to guide you through our flagship 3D LiDAR camera. Galois is more than just a capture device; It's the cornerstone of an efficient spatial digitization workflow. Today, I'll walk you through the entire process to ensure you can maximize its performance from day one.

Support System: Before we dive in, I’d like to highlight our commitment to your success. Upon purchase, we provide flexible, dedicated support tailored to your team's communication habits. Whether you prefer WhatsApp, Discord, or an Email thread, we can set up a personalized channel that fits seamlessly into your workflow.

If you haven't been assigned a support group yet, or if you'd like to switch to a more convenient platform, please contact Lutina(https://wa.me/message/T6HLYUYBCQABB1).She will coordinate and assign the right support members to ensure your technical needs are met promptly.

🏁 Phase 1: Unboxing & Power Up

Next, let's move on to the most exciting part—the official unboxing. The first thing you should do upon receiving your Galois is to verify the contents of the package.

1. Activate Your Exclusive Support Channel:

  • Note: Dedicated, high-priority support channels are exclusively reserved for Galois hardware customers.
  • We provide personalized support via WhatsApp, Discord, or Email to ensure your hardware investment delivers maximum value. If you are a Galois owner and haven't been assigned a group yet, please contact Lutina (lutina.suen@realsee.ai). She will verify your device status and coordinate with our technical specialists to set up your dedicated channel.

2. Checklist Guidance:

  • Please keep in mind that the accessories included may vary depending on whether you purchased a Bundle or a Kit. To ensure you have everything needed to start your project, we recommend cross-checking the items against the final list confirmed with our sales team (or your sales manager) during the procurement process.

  • If you notice any discrepancies or have questions regarding specific accessories, please reach out through your dedicated support channel or contact your dedicated sales manager directly. We will ensure any issues are resolved immediately to get you up and running.

3.  Assembly & Connectivity

Now that we’ve seen the impressive hardware details, I’m sure you’re ready to get hands-on. Let’s move straight into the setup process and see how to quickly assemble and connect your device.

🏁 Phase 2: From Inventory to First Scan

1. Getting Started: Download & Account Setup

Before arriving at the site, you must set up your digital workspace. Your mobile device acts as the "Brain" of the operation, processing 3D data in real-time.

  • Download the App: Search for "Realsee VR" in your app store.

    • Android Users: Download via Google Play Store.

    • iOS Users: Download via Apple App Store.

  • Account Binding: Register your account and ensure your hardware is bound to your account. This allows for seamless synchronization of your 3D projects and credit management.

2. Visual Demonstration: Hardware & Connection

Once the site is ready, let’s look at how to power up and connect. This video demonstrates the process from start to finish. Watch Setup Video

The 'Why' Behind Connectivity: Before we play the clip, you might wonder: 'Why do I need to link my phone to the Galois?' Unlike traditional cameras, the Galois works in tandem with the Realsee VR App. This connection allows your mobile device to act as the 'Brain,' providing a Real-time Preview of the 3D data. This ensures that every scan point is perfectly aligned before you leave the site, saving you from costly re-visits.Key Technical Steps:
  • Pairing: Pay close attention to the Wi-Fi pairing process. The default password is ten zeros (0000000000).
  • Battery Status: Monitor the LED indicators to ensure you have enough power for the session.
  • Safety First: Most importantly, please remove the radar cover and lens cap before you begin to allow the sensors to 'see' the environment.

3. Pre-capture Preparation: Setting the Stage

Now that we’ve confirmed your inventory, the very first step before touching the hardware is preparing the environment. This is critical for a successful 3D reconstruction. Please refer to our first official guide: Pre-capture Preparation.

Key takeaway: Remember the three pillars—Lighting, Doors, and Obstacles. Ensure all lights are on, curtains are open, and all doors to the rooms you wish to scan are fully opened to provide a clear 'Line of Sight' for the LiDAR.

4. Execution: Starting Your First Capture

With the video as your visual baseline, you can now follow our detailed protocol: Starting Your Capture.

The Golden Rules for Point Distribution:
  • For Beginners: Keep a distance of roughly 1.5 meters between scan points to ensure 100% alignment success.
  • For Experienced Users: Once you are comfortable, you can place a capture point every 3-8 meters.
    • Complex Spaces: For repetitive or intricate layouts, keep points within 2-3 meters for a better navigation experience.
    • Outdoor Spaces: Ensure points are no more than 8 meters apart to maintain LiDAR accuracy.
  • Continuous Path: Maintain a logical, straight, or continuous flow. This allows our AI to stitch your space together with maximum precision.

5. Dedicated Support & Conclusion

By combining these professional guides with our visual demonstrations, you are now fully equipped to launch your first project. We highly recommend bookmarking these resources on your mobile device—they will serve as your digital field manual for on-site success.

This concludes the setup portion of our walkthrough. Remember, you aren't just buying a camera; you are gaining a support team. If you encounter any unique environments—such as high-ceiling halls or rooms with heavy mirrors—simply drop a photo in your dedicated support group. We will coordinate with our technical specialists to provide a tailored scanning strategy for you.

🏁 Phase 3: Advanced Techniques

1. Multi-Floor & Large-Scale Project Strategy

If your project involves multiple levels or expansive areas, Realsee provides specialized workflows to ensure efficiency:"

  • Multi-Floor Logic: Always start your scan from the stairs or elevators. Capture points consistently as you move between floors to ensure the AI can 'stitch' the vertical transition perfectly. Use the 'Floor Management' feature in the App to keep your layers organized. Ref: Multi-floor Guide
  • Large-Scale Collaboration: For exceptionally large projects, we highly recommend using our Collaborative Capture feature. This allows multiple operators to scan different sections of the same space simultaneously, significantly reducing your time on-site. You can later merge these sub-projects into one seamless 3D tour via the Console. Ref: Collaborative Capture Guide

🏁Phase 4: Project Generation

1. Data Upload: Bridging Hardware and Cloud:

Once you’ve completed your capture, the next step is Uploading your raw data to the Cloud for processing(generating).

  • Stable Connection: For the best experience, we recommend using a stable Wi-Fi connection. The app will securely upload your LiDAR data.

  • Seamless Transfer: You can monitor the progress directly in the App. Once the status shows 'Generating', our service takes over. Ref: Uploading Guide

 2. AI Reconstruction: Where the Magic Happens

After uploading, the Realsee engine(AWS Cloud) begins the automated reconstruction.

  • Automatic Stitching: The system automatically aligns your capture points, creates the 3D mesh, and applies the optimized Zenith and Nadir (sky & floor) textures in your 3D Tour.

  • Processing Time: Depending on the size(point) of your project, the service typically completes the 3D tour within minutes to a few hours. You don't need to stay in the app; we’ll notify you once it’s ready. Ref: Project Generation Flow

🏁Phase 5: Explore the Possibilities

Before we move to editing, let’s take a look at what the final results look like. Here are a few Live Demos captured with the Galois system:

🏁 Phase 6: Refine Your Space: Console editor

  • Optimization: If you are happy with the results—especially with our optimized AI Zenith and Nadir —you can 'Activate' the project immediately and share the link to your platforms.

  • Customization: For more detailed edits, like adding Hotspots, blurring faces, or setting the starting view, you can access the Realsee Console.
